Grenaa is an East Jutland port and a gateway to Djursland. Its former Stena Line connection ended on 30 April 2026.
Grenaa is connected by road and regional public transport with Aarhus and the Djursland area. The ferry harbour is separate from parts of the town centre.
For ferry planning, start with the sailing rather than the sightseeing itinerary. Check the exact port, boarding time and passenger or vehicle conditions, then work backwards to decide where to stay and how much transfer time is needed. International sailings require enough time for terminal procedures, particularly with a vehicle.
Stena Line discontinued the Grenaa–Halmstad ferry route on 30 April 2026. It is no longer an operating Stena Line passenger crossing. For a Denmark–Sweden ferry alternative, compare Frederikshavn–Gothenburg and allow for the different road journey at each end.
